Base heating element
The outdoor unit comes equipped with a base heating element that produces heat even in extremely cold temperatures. When outdoor temperatures fall below 0°C, the base heating element is activated in order to prevent condensation from freezing. Without a base heating element, frozen condensate can cause noise, damage the condenser coil, break fan blades, and reduce overall system performance.
